Apache Tear Obsidian Pendant Necklace
  • Apache Tear Obsidian Pendant Necklace

Rough Apache tear obsidian from Nevada that I hand polished and set in a silversmithed thick sterling silver “shield” designed prong setting. Stippling textured opposing corners with black oxidation and granulations add to a unique pendant and special stone.
18” stainless steel snake chain included. Pendant is about 1 1/2” x 1 1/2” in size.
This specific obsidian, referred to Apache Tear, is a protection and grounding stone which also helps healing grief and loss. The Apache Tear was formed from by the tears of Apache women mourning the loss of loved ones who jumped to their deaths, rather than be captured by the Calvary. As the women cried, their tears turned to glass that would forever hold their stories. This is a powerful protection stone and commonly used by healers.
